Need help planning a trip to a National Park, Historic Site, or Monument? We can help! We’ve been to well over 100 National Park Sites and counting spanning from Coast to Coast. The goal of this blog is to provide some of the tips and info we wish we had when we planned our trips.
The Nelsons include Ross (Dad), Kim (Mom), “JoyJoy”, and “Tots”. We are from the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. That’s right – we call the land of the Juicy Lucy, Loon, Mighty Ducks, and that Mall home! We love the area, but enjoy exploring nature and beautiful cities across the country and, someday, the world. Many of our adventures stem from a goal set in 2015, after visiting Glacier National Park, to visit every National Park in the Contiguous US before the kids graduate from high school. This blog is our way of sharing what we do and helping others learn from our plans! While it will focus on the sites formally designated as parks, we visit nearby park sites as well.
When not busy planning our trips, Ross has a day job leading a team at an HVAC company and enjoys photography as well as taking drives with our 3rd child, Oliver, a 1970 Chevy Blazer. Kim is a self-employed graphic designer and sells custom invitation/greeting cards in her Etsy shop. She loves researching health stuff and trying new recipes, she is also a Type 1 diabetic and dealt with chronic lyme so that will have some influence on our posts as well.
Join our family as we passionately pursue adventuring beyond the ordinary through travel, food, and more.
